Originally from Poland, I attended Business School in Warsaw prior to moving to The United States in order to expand my horizons. I began my professional art career in 2007 as a painter and portrait artist and in 2010 I debuted as a children's picture book illustrator.
My inspiration spans from the simplistic and fun in children's books and murals, to capturing the depth and range of human emotions in pencil sketches and portrait paintings.
Full Bio
Aleksandra Beaucher was born, Aleksandra Adriana Watorska in the small town of Pas??k, Poland on June 24, 1979. She went to University in Warsaw before coming to the US in 2002 as an Au Pair for a family of three children in North Carolina. After two more families and raising a total of seven children, made a bold move to Los Angeles in 2005.
Aleksandra started painting as a hobby in 2007 and quickly realized that she had a great talent for it regardless of having no formal training.
Her art career officially began in 2009, with her first portrait entitled, “Ana,” a beautiful close up of an elderly Asian woman. This painting was the turning point for Aleksandra’s career when she sold it and two other pieces to a celebrity buyer and was commissioned to pencil three more sketched portraits for her.
The exposure lead to more commission work which includes pencil sketches, paintings, Logos, murals and recently being the sole illustrator for a children’s book published in November, 2010. This brought Aleksandra another children’s book commission which she is currently working on.
